While making the donation, the president of Omawa club, Asiwaju Benson Akintola Akindeju noted that social responsibility is a factor which the club has always identified with over the years. He said when he assumed office as the president of Omawa club, he outlined his programmes, the most significance of which is to give everybody a sense of belonging in Ikale land. ‘’we feel the hospital needs very clean bed sheets because we had once visited here and I didn’t feel very comfortable with what I saw. I observed that the hospital can make do with clean pillow cases and bed sheets, so that the patients can lay comfortably on their beds, hence this timely and prompt donation, ‘’ Asiwaju Benson Akindeju stated.

Akindeju also noted that this donation is a continuous effort because the club plans to reach out to all the other general hospitals in Ikale land. Besides this, he said Omawa club has array of community development projects lined up for the good people of Ikale land in 2016.

In his goodwill message to the people of Ikale, Asiwaju Benson Akindeju said the people should look forward to a prosperous new year, noting that Omawa club peopled by experts and professionals will not lie on their oars but will continue to ensure that Ikale land gets its pride of place in the scheme of things in Ondo state. ‘’You will recall that not quite long we called a press conference drawing government attention to the lack of government presence and abandoned projects in Ikale land. We want the lacklustre development of Ikale land corrected, ‘’. Akindeju stressed.

Dr. Ayodele also a member of Omawa Club who was on the team that visited the hospital to make the donation said the club as a responsible social organisation looks at the need of the society and looks at how such cogent needs can be met. He said the donation is one of their outreaches as the club annually reach out to people and organisation, feel the peoples’ pulse and meet their need. “It is a very germane responsibility to make the hospital comfortable because the hospital is the last hope of a sick man,” Dr. Ayodele said.

In his reaction to the donations, Dr. Ikuemelo, Deputy CMD Specialist Hospital Okitipupa noted that the kind gesture of Omawa club members is a good step in the right direction. He said they have shown concern that they love their people and it is a gesture worth emulating by other clubs in the land.

On the entourage of the President of Omawa club, Asiwaju Benson Akindeju to make the donation were Dr. Ayodele, Prince Teju Emoruwa, Chief Iwayemi Ilesanmi and Mr. Stephen Fasawe(FCA).
